Masonry Cavity Wall Ties
TeploTie is a BBA approved range of low thermal conductivity wall ties for masonry cavity wall. Ties are available for cavities up to 450mm in width. TeploTie is formed from basalt fibre and has a low thermal conductivity of 0.7 W/mK. TeploTie has been used across the UK in super low energy new build and retrofit projects, including certified PassivHaus and Code for Sustainable Homes Level 6 (Zero Carbon) developments.

TeploTie’s low thermal conductivity can be used to reduce U-values or reduce insulation thicknesses for a given U-value and thereby reduce the wall footprint and associated building material costs.
In general masonry-to-masonry ties are installed at 900mm horizontal centres and 450mm vertical centres; this is equivalent to 2.5ties/m2.
